TESTIMONIALS

Sara Anderson

Spring 2007 South Africa Service Learning participant

MSTP allows me to work for change at a macro level.  Through MSTP I am working with the school district in the townships to create a useful resource for all stakeholders regarding discipline.  I am able to talk to people at all levels of the education system in order to understand the challenges and needs to create a resource that can be used and is helpful to all.  I am able to work independently with the support of a project manager and the education system to do research, translate the data to refine a website, get feedback on the website from the schools, and present the information to the school district.  I am able to build relationships with principals, teachers, and learners, and work hand in hand with other organizations on the issue of discipline in schools.  I feel a great sense of pride in the work that MSTP has done in the education system and the contribution of my research and resource for the bigger picture of education.
