The Servant Leadership program from the Milwaukee School of Engineering,
and the Service Learning Program, Community Service Program, and
University Ministry of Marquette University are pleased to announce
this second biennial student-led regional conference aimed at helping
students develop skills, passion and knowledge to inspire meaningful service
projects on campus.
The 2010 Midwest Service Leaders Conference will be co-hosted by Marquette University and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. The conference events will be held on the Milwaukee School of Engineering campus in Milwaukee, WI.
Registration fees for the Midwest Service Leaders Conference are $75 per
attendee, and includes a conference tee-shirt, hand-made tote bag, continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday, and a brunch buffet on Sunday. Registration is now closed. If you have questions or concerns, please call (414) 288-3259, or e-mail Samira Payne at samira.payne@marquette.edu.
Accomodation arrangements for those traveling to Milwaukee have been made
with the Double Tree and the Hyatt. Rates from $89. A shuttle for students from Marquette University will be available for transportation to MSOE.
Attendees of the Midwest Service Leaders Conference will participate in peer-led workshops, roundtable discussions, a community panel, service projects, and the chance to hear speakers working to bring change to the world. Topics of the weekend's events include: creating change around social injustice, learning
successful leadership strategies, recruiting and retaining a peer volunteer force, developing partnerships in the community, and leading reflection sessions.
