The goal and objective of Myanmar Learning Center is to provide trainings for Myanmar refugees that are associated with capacity building and educational and professional development in order to improve their chances for educational and employment opportunities to live and succeed in the United States.
Student Role in Agency: Service learners will have the opportunity to assist 2nd to 10th grade Burmese students with tutoring, likely in Math and English. Myanmar Learning Center’s programs are run entirely by volunteers and with nearly 30 Burmese students attending weekly Saturday tutoring sessions, tutors are highly valued.
