Immunizations
Immunizations are not standard
and are administered according to the health risk that the traveler
is likely to incur. Immunizations
vary depending on itinerary, time of travel, age, previous
vaccinations, medical history and length of stay.
Some general
guidelines apply:
| • |
All
travelers should be up-to-date on routine immunizations, such as measles and tetanus
|
| • |
Some countries
may require vaccination for entry — yellow fever, for example
|

Persons traveling
to any developing country must be concerned about
food- and waterborne illness, and should
receive appropriate immunizations such as hepatitis A and typhoid |
