Application Instructions

Step 1: Create a New User Account

Click on the "Start" button on the previous page. On the next screen, create a free new user account by clicking on the "Create New User" button. Complete all of the fields presented on the next page and then click the "Continue" button. You should arrive at the online application start page.

Step 2: Review Application Instructions

Click on either the "Instructions" button in the upper left hand corner of the page OR the "Instructions" link in the "To Do List" area in the middle of the page. This will take you to a page where you can review important instructions from Marquette in an Adobe Acrobat (PDF) document. If you don't have the Acrobat Reader software on your computer, you can download it for free from Adobe.


Step 3: Start Your Application

To start your application, either click on the "Application Form" button in the upper left hand corner of the page OR the "Application Form" link in the "To Do List" area in the middle of the page.

Step 4: Saving Your Work

If at anytime you would like to stop, just click on the "SAVE" in the tan bar at the top of the screen. This will save your work and you can return later to finish any section of the application.

To log in and finish your application at a later date, click here.

Step 5: Preview Your Work

Once you've completed all of the required areas of the online application, return to the homepage and click on each button in the left hand corner to return to the application's various sections. Then click on the "PREVIEW" button in the tan bar at the top of the screen. This will launch a small preview window where your responses for that section will be displayed in Adobe Acrobat (PDF). Check for spelling errors, bad grammar, incomplete information and anything else that might not look right.

If you would like to edit anything presented in the preview, simply close the preview window and edit your entries.

Step 6: Confirm Your Signature

To submit your completed online application, type your full legal name in the space provided and then click on the "Confirm Signature" button.

Step 7: Submit Your Application

Click "Submit my Application Now" button to submit your application online to Marquette University. We will send you two confirmation e-mails: the first will confirm that your application form has been sent; the second e-mail will indicate that your application form has been received by Marquette University.

Important: There may be a time lag between your application being submitted and it being received. This is because the admissions office may take a few days to receive your application after it has been electronically delivered.

Step 8: Counselor Recommendation Form

Your confirmation e-mails include a link from which to download the guidance counselor recommendation form. Give this form to your counselor to complete and mail with your high school transcripts.

Advising

Every student is required to meet with an academic adviser before registering for classes each semester. Your adviser will help you navigate through a degree program to graduate on time. If you are multi-interested, your adviser will work with you to select a class schedule and make sure you are aware of all of your options.
