Women's and Gender Studies
You’ve heard of Susan B. Anthony and Sojourner Truth, probably read Emily Dickinson and Toni Morrison and doubtless were awed by Sally Ride. What do these women have in common? They and other amazing women have played incredible roles in history, and they’re part of a continuing legacy. Now you can study the effect women have had on philosophy, history, literature, anthropology and other disciplines, and gain an understanding for how gender has always functioned as a dynamic component in our institutions and culture. THE MARQUETTE ADVANTAGE

"One of the gross misconceptions about feminism is that it's only about women. But in order for a woman to live freely, men have to live freely, too." — Susan Faludi, author of Stiffed
