“Is it better to shoot for a six and get a six, or shoot for a ten and be disappointed?”  This is the question that Heidi Holland ponders throughout the 60s, 70s, and 80s in Wendy Wasserstein’s visionary play, The Heidi Chronicles.  This bitingly funny story follows the journey of an intellectual art historian as she searches for personal fulfillment.  Ever-changing gender roles and shifting political and social structures in America characterize this touching look at the identity of the “baby-boomer” generation.
