The purpose of AnGST is to promote and encourage the spiritual, scholarly and social interests and activities of graduate students in theology, and provide opportunities for spiritual, scholarly and social interaction between theology students, faculty, staff and administration.
AnGST organizes numerous events throughout the academic year, including:
- New student orientation and welcome picnic
- Beginning and end of term prayer services
- Winter spiritual retreat
- Faculty colloquia
- Marquette/Loyola graduate student colloquium
Membership in AnGST is open to any full or part time Marquette University graduate student in theology. Leadership is provided by a five member board of directors who, after being elected from the membership at large, each serve two-year terms.
Directors for the 2008-2009 academic year include: Catherine Marcy,
Brad Anderson, Jeremy Blackwood, Kent Lasnoski, and Rebecca Hylander.
AnGST is registered as an official student organization with Marquette's Office of Student Development.
