The Dissertation Oasis, an informal initiative led by graduate students in the Department of Theology, is in the midst of its third year of meetings.

The Oasis is designed to provide encouragement, support, and some level of accountability for continued progress in the dissertation process. This group is especially helpful for students who are preparing their DDO, starting their research, or writing their dissertation, although students in all stages of the doctoral program are welcome to attend.

Each meeting will provide the opportunity for a faculty member to share advice based upon their own experience writing and directing dissertations, and for students to update each other on the status of their dissertation projects.
