Dr. Rodrigo Morales
Assistant Professor

Rodrigo J. Morales [Ph.D., New Testament, Duke University, 2007; M.T.S., Biblical Studies, University of Notre Dame, 2002] recently completed and defended his dissertation entitled “The Spirit and the Restoration of Israel: New Exodus and New Creation Motifs in Galatians,” which he is revising for publication.  His research interests lie primarily in the fields of Pauline studies, ancient Judaism, and the early history of biblical interpretation, with a special interest in how to integrate historical study of ancient texts (both biblical and patristic) with contemporary theological interpretation of Scripture.  He has presented papers at regional and national meetings of the Society of Biblical Literature, the North American Patristics Society, and New Testament Seminars at Duke University and the University of Durham.
