Wanda Zemler-Cizewski Associate
Professor and Library Coordinator
Wanda Zemler-Cizewski (Ph.D. in Medieval Studies, University
of Toronto, 1983), [Historical], specializes in the history and
theology of the Middle Ages, particularly in the theology of the
twelfth century. She is the recipient of an NEH Humanities
Summer Fellowship (1990) and the author of several articles in
professional journals (e.g. “ Forma Dei-forma Servi:
A Study of Thomas Aquinas' Use of Philippians 2:6-7,” Divus
Thomas 92 (1989): 3-32; “A Theological Feast: The Commentary
by Rupert of Deutz on Trinity Sunday,” Recherches de Théologie
ancienne et médiévale 55 (1988): 41-52; “Interpreting
the Hexaemeron: Honorius Augustodinensis De Neocosmo,” Florilegium
7 (1985): 84-108). She is currently working on a book-length
study of the medieval exegesis of Genesis 2:18-25 (the creation
