Follow your passions for the big questions in life!
You want to pursue the big theological questions? You wonder what impact faith has on society? You want to reflect on the common good in the religious traditions? You’re interested in learning more about your own faith? You want a more courses on your transcript that might help you stand out a bit in a very competitive job market? You’re already really busy with your major(s), and couldn’t possibly fit another major in? We have the perfect academic program for you: a Minor in Theology.
Our very successful Minor in Theology is designed for students who would like to pursue their theological interests but can’t, because of academic or work considerations, fit in all the courses required for a major. The minor in Theology is a popular choice for many students, because it only requires three courses beyond the three already present in the Arts and Sciences Core; if you’re in one of the other colleges, you only need to take four extra courses, all of them on the third level, all of them taught by fulltime faculty.
The minor consists of six courses distributed across several curricular areas in the department.
For students in the Klingler College of Arts & Sciences, this means that you only need three additional Theology courses beyond your Core and College requirements to qualify for the Theology Minor.
