Danielle K. Nussberger (Ph.D., University of Notre Dame, 2008) specializes in systematic theology and spirituality. She has specific interests in the intersection between theology and spirituality, biblical theology, negative theology in the postmodern context, trinitarian theology, and the relationship between faith and reason.
She is currently completing a book on Hans Urs von Balthasar’s hermeneutic of the saint and writing articles on figures such as John Henry Newman and Jean-Luc Marion. Her future research will include placing Balthasar in dialogue with feminist and liberationist theologies and proposing John of the Cross’s contribution to contemporary trinitarian theology.
