Rev. Dr. Cheryl Peterson

A pastor and teacher, Cheryl Peterson (Ph.D., 2004), Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, exemplifies the ecumenical emphasis in Marquette’s Department of Theology. From 2000-2005, she and her husband Charles, who did his doctoral work in Philosophy at Marquette, together served as the pastors of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Wisconsin Avenue just west of the Marquette campus. Today, she is publishing journal articles on pneumatology and ecumenism and book chapters on Lutheran ecclesiology while teaching at Trinity.
