Full-time Service Experience, Years Served, Location:

Americorps VISTA, 2014-2015, Milwaukee, WI

Service Experience:

Deeply passionate about youth initiatives and education, I was inspired to serve because I saw immediate need for oranizational capacity building in my hometown. Similarly, I pursued the Trinity Fellowship because I felt that it would help me in developing necessary leadership skills and a deeper understanding of issues as I continue to pursue a career in the nonprofit sector.

Trinity Fellowship Experience:

The Trinity Fellows experience has been a much-needed journey in self-discovery and growing pains. I was pushed to think in different ways and stretch to consider solutions I hadn't previously considered. Being a Milwaukee resident of 20 years, my transition into Trinity was seamless. Continuing to live, work, and study in Milwaukee was wonderful. My favorite highlight of the fellowship has been meeting many influential leaders in Milwaukee's nonprofit world and making connections with previous fellows. Having the opportunity to jump-start a professional network has been a great opportunity.

Plans After Graduation:

After graduation, I intend on working for a youth-serving organization focused on education outcomes in Milwaukee.

Current Position:

Impact Manager, City Year Milwaukee
