Lenten Retreat in Daily Life
"Return to God, with your whole heart." Joel 2:12

A Busy Peron's Self Directed Retreat
February 5 - March 11, 2008
Lenten Retreat in Daily Life Registration is full
We seek and long for an intimate relationship with Christ that can only come through prayer. In this busy world, who has the time to really pray at the level assumed to be needed for this level of intimacy? The Lenten Retreat in Daily Life is just the retreat you need to “Return to God, With Your Whole Heart.“ Through the guidance of a Spiritual Director or Spiritual Guide, you begin to return to the heart of your relationship with your God.
The Lenten Retreat in Daily Life is a self directed retreat designed for busy people. It is not like other retreats where you may engage in group prayer and learn how others live in faith. It is a retreat that only you and your Spiritual Director are on. Participation on this retreat requires;
- a minimum of 15 minutes of daily reflection and prayer,
- weekly conversations with a Spiritual Director or Spiritual Guide who will walk with you on your Lenten Retreat journey,
- a personal commitment to work on your intimate relationship with Christ.
The Retreat begins with a group prayer service in the Chapel of the Holy Family in the Alumni Memorial Union at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2008. There you will meet your Director/Guide and organize your weekly meetings to fit your schedules. If you are unable to attend this opening prayer service, please contact Ann Mulgrew for your information to contact your Spiritual Director/Guide on your own.
The Retreat concludes with a closing prayer service in the Chapel of the Holy Family in the Alumni Memorial Union at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. This concluding prayer will be your gateway to Holy Week and the Easter Resurrection of Christ within you.
