"Miles for Meals"
is a "fun run" that serves as the primary fundraiser for the Midnight Run Program.
Midnight Run is a student initiative which has served the needs of the hungry and homeless in the community near Marquette since 1988.
All of the money raised will go directly toward the purchase of food used in Midnight Run's Noon Run lunch program. Each year student volunteers work to raise the $6000 budget that funds the Midnight Run program. The "Miles for Meals" Run/Walk is a fun way to help raise these funds.
The "Miles for Meals" Run/Walk takes place on campus along what is known on campus as the "Marquette Mile". This is the long continuous "block" from 16th Street to 12th Street and Wisconsin Avenue to Clybourn Street. |
