Tracking the Spirit
in Challenging Times
The Gathering Points lecture series are co-sponsored by the Office of Mission and Ministry and Gesu Parish. These lectures take place twice a year and comprised of such topics as of such topics as faith, spirituality, contemporary Church issues and social justice. They are designed for the parish communty, the university community and women and men from around Milwaukee to grow in an adult faith by listening to notable speakers and engaging in reflection and dilogue. They encourage listeners to, "track the Spirit in challenging times."

Dr. Cahill is the J. Donald Monan, S.J., Professor at Boston College where she has taught theology since 1976. She is past president of the Catholic Theological Society and the Society of Christian Ethics. Her areas of special interest are method intheological ethics, especially in the Roman Catholic natural law tradition; use of Scripture in ethics;ethics of sex and gender; medical ethics; and history of Christian ethics.

Associate Professor of Theology, Marquette University Father Bryan Massingale received his Doctorate of Sacred Theology in Systematics/Ethics in 1991. He specializes in Roman Catholic moral theology with a focus on Catholic social thought, liberation theologies, African-American religious action, racial reconciliation, environmental justice and terrorism and the challenge of peacemaking.
