Hiring for Mission
The intent of the central
administration is to empower each area to reflect on these
pages and to determine
the best practices for their area when they hire for mission.
This requires that departments personalize their own context
in hiring for mission and to the extent that these pages
help toward that goal, they should be used. It is not the desire of
Marquette's president that these documents constrain or inhibit;
rather, that they inspire and lead areas to determine their
connection with our mission and to hire within that context.
Therefore,
these are not static documents, but will be modified and
adapted as necessary and as needs change.
