Nurse Certification Review Course

are requested. Developed by the Hartford Foundation’s Institute for Geriatric Nursing. The
content and emphasis of the course correspond to that of the certification examination for
Gerontological Nurses as outlined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a
subsidiary of the American Nurses Association. The course offers a summary of key clinical
information and issues pertaining to gerontological nursing, case studies, practice questions,
continuing education units (optional), all designed within a self-paced study environment.
Impact of Nursing Home Regulations on Physician Practice
Cost: FREE Developed by the New Jersey
Geriatric Education Center. This course focuses on the regulatory requirements in the
long-term care setting and how these regulations impact your practice. It includes
practical information about the key components of OBRA 87, the Prospective Payment
System, the Resident Assessment Instrument, a pre- and post-test, and mock case studies.
Although targeted to Physicians, this course is also appropriate for other health care
professionals.
