The Marquette University Women's Studies Program seeks to introduce students to feminist perspectives and scholarship across the disciplines and in the professional schools. Through the wide variety of courses offered in its major and minor, students are provided with challenging, innovative, and service-oriented opportunities in their formal course offerings. Women's Studies courses also seek to demonstrate to students how to apply issues of social justice to their future professional lives as leaders in their communities. In addition to its focus on students, the Women's Studies Program also seeks to advance the status, professional opportunities, and visibility of women faculty on campus, and to foster the growth of women as leaders in the university community.
