Paul Joseph
Lecturer Meteorologist

Paul Joseph is the Chief Meteorologist and is responsible for all weather coverage on the Milwaukee based Journal Broadcast Group stations of Today's TMJ4, Newsradio 620 WTMJ, and 94.5 WKTI.  His primary  broadcast responsibilities are on Channel 4 television and WTMJ radio in Milwaukee.  Paul and his wife Judy moved to Milwaukee in 1970 as Paul become the first broadcast meteorologist on Milwaukee television.

Joseph holds a masters degree in meteorology with an air pollution minor from the University of Utah.  His undergraduate work was done at both the University of Wisconsin in Madison and the University of Utah.  Teaching has always been a great love of Paul's ever since graduate school.  He's taught at the University of Utah, the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and for the past 15 years, Marquette University.  Paul created Physics 007, Survey of Meteorology, for the students of Marquette.

Joseph is a past member of both the American Meteorological Society Board of Broadcast Meteorology and its Board of Meteorological Education.  He holds the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval for both radio and television weathercasting.  In 2001 Paul became only the 24th broadcaster in the United States  to be recognized by the same society with its highest honor for a broadcaster, the Award for Outstanding Service by a Broadcast Meteorologist.  In 1995 he was named a Fellow of the AMS for his over 25 years of involvement in the improvement of broadcast meteorology, both in Wisconsin and nationwide, and for his contribution to weather education in the Milwaukee area.  In 1991, the National Weather Association named Joseph its Radio/Television Broadcaster of the year.  He also has received awards from the Milwaukee Press Club and the Milwaukee Chapter of American Women in Radio and Television.

In his free time Joseph enjoy tennis, movies, the theatre, and traveling, especially by train.  Paul and his wife Judy have designed and taken groups all over the world by train.  They have four children and one grandchild.
