Service Learning
Service Learning fulfills a need in the community. Students volunteer to apply what they are learning in a class to assist a community group, school, or organization. The physics department offers a service learning option to its students in several of our courses. The community needs fulfilled by our students include tutoring at middle and high schools; presentations and scientific demonstrations at science classes in middleand high schools; and scientific demonstrations at community organizations.
