South AfricA Delegation to visit Milwaukee October 3 to 7, 2016

In an effort to enhance Marquette’s local-global community engagement, Marquette’s Office of International Education is hosting a community partner involved with Marquette’s South Africa Service Learning Program in Cape Town, South Africa.

During the week of October 3 to 7, 2016, Marquette will be hosting Melikaya Ntshingwa, residential director of the South Africa Service Learning Program. He will be accompanied by Bernard Pather, principal of Tembaletu Schooll, and Lillian Masebenza, founder of Mhani Gingi Social Entrepreneurial Networks.

The delegation will meet with Marquette’s community partners to seek ways to enhance collaboration from Milwaukee to Cape Town. The delegation is scheduled to visit the Frederick J . Gaenslen School and meet with members of Near West Side Partners, Inc.

The Office of International Education is also hosting a special reception to connect the delegation with alumni of the South Africa Service Learning Program on Wednesday, October 5.
