Welcome, December graduates!
TO THE MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Another 570 students will become alumni when they graduate from Marquette on Sunday, December 16. Rev. Bryan Massingale, associate professor of theology, will be the commencement speaker.
Graduates of Marquette are automatically entitled to the
many great benefits of the Marquette University Alumni Association (MUAA), including discounts both on and off campus and
free access to MU Connect, Marquette's online alumni community.

- Another Wisconsin Professor of the Year
Dr. Kristina Ropella, chair of the biomedical engineering department in Marquette’s
College of Engineering, has been named the Wisconsin Professor of the Year. This is the
second consecutive honor for a Marquette professor. Last year, Dr. Donald Neumann,
professor of physical therapy at Marquette, earned the title. Read more
- Keyes funds business deanship at Marquette
James H. Keyes, retired CEO and chairman of the board at Johnson Controls, Wednesday announced a gift of $7.2 million to Marquette University to fund the deanship in the College of Business Administration. Read more
- Marquette adds music minor
Next fall, students will have an opportunity to begin a minor in music through the
Department of Performing Arts in the Diederich College of Communication. More than
400 students are currently enrolled in various music classes, and about six percent of
Marquette’s undergraduates perform in vocal and instrumental ensembles. Read more

- Midnight Run will celebrate its 20th Anniversary in October of 2008
Midnight Run is a student initiative which began in 1988 and continues to serve the needs
of hungry and homeless people in the local community.
If you have volunteered or served in the leadership of Midnight Run, we would love to hear
from you and have you join us for the celebration on October 25, 2008. E-mail us about
your involvement with Midnight Run and what parts of the experience have stayed with
you! We would like to create a display at our event to share insights of your Midnight Run
experience and help depict the spirit and history of this highly respected organization.
