  • A glimpse of what’s ahead
    The Class of 2012 got its first taste of college life at PREVIEW in June, when incoming
    freshmen and their families came for campus tours, small-group sessions, socials and
    an overnight stay in the residence halls. See the slide show.
  • The MUAA welcomes new volunteers
    The Marquette University Alumni Association National Board of Directors welcomes new
    members Maureen Bergan, Arts ‘92, Patrick Klein, Bus Ad ’99, Diana Mathis, Comm ’03,
    Elizabeth Miller, Eng ’01, Jim Milner, CPS ’03, Gina Maier Ryan, Arts ’63, and Diane
    Scheetz, H Sci ’04. Lisa Flynn Ross, Bus Ad '95, is the new board president, following
    2007-2008 president Jim Rand, Ph.D., Bus Ad '63.
  • Buzz’s BBQ a smashing success
    Nearly 2,000 fans flocked to campus to enjoy a Texas-style barbecue hosted by Buzz

  • Big changes at the Haggerty Museum
    The vision of director Walter "Wally" Mason is bringing a new look to the Patrick and
    Beatrice Haggerty Museum of Art, including the first major re-installation of the permanent
    collection in nearly a quarter-century.
  • School of Education becomes a college
    Education grads can now call themselves alumni of Marquette’s College of Education.
    The change to college status allows education majors to start education classes as
    freshmen.
  • In the news
    The Chicago Tribune and dozens of other media outlets nationwide ran an Associated
    Press story
    about how Marquette administrator Stephanie Russell inspired the Boston
    Celtics’ motto. Opus Dean of Engineering Stan Jaskolskialso received prominent
    coverage in a Sunday Milwaukee Journal Sentinel profile headlined "Engineering MU’s
    Future." The Journal Sentinel highlighted the College of Engineering again on July 3 for
    its "Engineering for Young Women" program.
