Olympic dreams
Two Marquette University alumni worked with the U.S. Figure Skating Team at the 2006 Winter Olympics

  • Roger Glenn, Law ’77, was the Turin Games Team Leader for U.S. Figure Skating. In this role, Glenn’s duties included everything from helping skaters maintain a good attitude to taking care of some of their smaller needs, like providing emergency laces.

  • Dr. David Diers, PT ’89, volunteered to serve as an athletic trainer and physical therapist for figure skaters competing at the National Championships in January in St. Louis. Some of these athletes went on to compete for the U.S. in the Winter Olympic Games.
