Survey says: share your feedback by May 10
The commitment, initiative and ongoing insights from mentees, mentors and campus partners are considered the cornerstone of the MUAA Mentor Program. Participants are encouraged to provide their opinions in the brief and anonymous 2018-19 MUAA Mentor program final survey.
“Many program enhancements, including this year's new travel stipend initiative, are a direct result of participant feedback,” says Dan DeWeerdt, MUAA Mentor Program director.
Participants who complete the survey by May 10 and email Dan DeWeerdt indicating FINAL SURVEY COMPLETE in the subject line will qualify for a chance to win a Marquette gift package.

In September 2018, I was very eager to start my senior year here at Marquette. It would be one last go-around with the friends I have made the past few years. Landing dream Under Armour internship caps string of successes for pair
By Bradford Eagan, Engineering mentee
My name is Bradford Eagan and I’m a senior mechanical engineering mentee from Cincinnati. This year, I had the immense privilege of working with Tom Yatso, Eng ’93, Grad ’02, and a mechanical engineering manager and program manager at STRATTEC Security Corporation in Milwaukee. Because Tom was also in the city, it allowed us to meet in person almost biweekly, which I believed to be incredibly beneficial for making the absolute most of our partnership. Learn how Bradford chased the dream of an Under Armous internship.

Keep in touch and take your mentor-mentee relationship to new heights
Although this year’s mentor program has formally concluded, consider these suggestions to build from the mentee-mentor relationship:
- Keep in touch. Share your latest news. New job? Promotion? New stage in your career? Looking to get feedback about an idea? Mentees, mentors, Mentee Alumni Network members- even Marquette mentor program staff- are an email or phone call away.
-
Review your goals and complete any unfinished business. If certain topics weren’t discussed, address them now.
-
If you live in the same town or traveling where your mentee or mentor resides, plan a visit to meet in person or consider job shadowing.
-
Keep in touch with MUAA staff for career-related questions or introductions to alumni in your field of interest.
-
Expand your network by contacting alumni in the mentor program mentor and mentee alumni online directories. Contact Dan DeWeerdt for more information.
