A Celebration of Research-Virtual Poster Session

2020 College of Arts and Sciences Research-Virtual Poster Session: Tuesday, November 10, 2020 - 11:00 a.m.

This event showcases and celebrates the many contributions and rich variety of research that takes place within the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences.  Open to all College faculty, students (graduate and undergraduate) and staff from all departments (humanities, natural sciences, social sciences) with the following objectives:

  • Demonstrate the breadth of research and creative projects of our faculty, students and staff.
  • Promote engagement in research and experiential learning in the college.
  • Encourage interaction and discussion with researchers and peers in other disciplines, departments and majors.
  • Connect with and discuss your research with a wide range of people. A great way to improve and fine-tune your presentation skills.

Eligibility

 All Klingler College of Arts and Sciences faculty members, graduate students, undergraduate students and staff are welcome to participate.

Intention to Submit (deadline passed)

The deadline has passed.  Please contact the college office with questions.

Presenter Information

All presenters are required to create an electronic poster (PDF format), which will be posted on this event webpage.  All poster files and video links are due to the college office by Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Presenters are encouraged but not required to do the following:

  • Record a short (5 minute max) video presentation about your work, which would be linked to your poster file on the event webpage.
  • Host a 15-30 minute Teams session on the day of the event (Nov 10) to discuss your work. These sessions will be scheduled pending presenters’ availability.
  • A schedule of these sessions will be posted on this event webpage.

Workshops

The Ott Memorial Writing Center will host two workshops that will highlight various ways scholars from across disciplines use posters to circulate information about their research. All students, faculty and staff of the college are welcome to register:

  • All research display participants are welcome to sign up for individual appointments if they’d like to talk with someone 1-to-1 about their poster.
