About Applied Investment Management

The AIM program began in 2006 with 12 students and has grown every year since.  Moving forward, students will be able to choose between two tracks with a focus on the CFA or FinTech.

Students apply to the AIM program in the fall semester of their sophomore year and notification of acceptance occurs prior to advising week in the fall. Acceptance into these tracks is limited and based on:

  • Overall academic performance (a minimum GPA of 3.0 is required)
  • Strong performance in courses (e.g. finance, accounting, economics, and math)
  • An application essay articulating the students motivation and value add to AIM should they be selected
  • One letter of recommendation
