Kurt Gering has been working in higher education for over 15 years, embarking on that journey at the University of Miami, before eventually returning home to Marquette University. In his current role at Marquette, he teaches graduate and undergraduate classes in organizational behavior, leadership and project management in traditional, hybrid and online environments.
“I encourage my students to actively participate in class by asking questions, raising issues, voicing opinions and sharing their experiences. In this manner, the class becomes an amalgamation of experiences and provides a richer experience for all. Ultimately, I strive to create an environment to empower students to become problem-solvers and agents for change, so that in the spirit of Saint Ignatius and Father Marquette they are ready ‘to go and set the world on fire.’"
