2022 Faculty Awards

CoBA 2022 Faculty Awards & Award Winner Summaries

Each year, the College of Business selects three faculty award winners for the Brennan Family Master Teacher Award, the Miles Research Fellow Award, and the Outstanding Adjunct Award. This year’s honorees are:

  • Brennan Family Master Teacher Award: Dr. Kristie Rogers, Associate Professor of Management
  • Miles Research Fellow Award: Dr. Jennica Webster, Associate Professor of Management
  • Outstanding Adjunct Award: Larry Kean, Instructor of Practice in Management

About Dr. Kristie Rogers

Kristie RogersDr. Kristie Rogers joined Marquette University in 2016 as an Assistant Professor in Management. Her research focuses on the topics of respect, identity, and stigma in organizations. Current and past research projects span contexts such as a prison, the Army’s Special Forces, an elite technology company, a small microbrewery, and female board members of publicly traded firms. Dr. Rogers is passionate about field-based research and partners with small and large organizations to address important challenges. Kristie teaches at the undergraduate and in our MBA, Masters in Supply Chain and Masters in Management programs.

About Dr. Jennica Webster

Jennica WebsterDr. Jennica Webster is the Co-Director of Marquette University’s Institute for Women’s Leadership and an Associate Professor in the Department of Management. Her research focuses on the types of workplace relationships, climates, and processes that impact the experiences, health and wellbeing of women and traditionally disadvantaged groups. This research has been published in outlets such as the Journal of Applied PsychologyHarvard Business ReviewHuman Resource Management, and Psychology of Women Quarterly, and recognized and supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF). In addition to her scholarship, she has consulted on applied projects related to diversity climate, the implementation of diversity initiatives, and the evaluation of diversity initiatives on business outcomes. Dr. Webster teaches at the undergraduate Human Resource Management area and in our Masters in Management programs.

About Larry Kean

Larry KeanLarry teaches in the Business Day 1 course, and has taught Managerial Accounting, and Cost Accounting at the undergraduate level, as well as Accounting Foundations to MBA students. He joined Marquette after nearly 30 years as the CFO of the A&A Manufacturing Co. in New Berlin, Wisconsin. He is a double Marquette graduate, earning his undergraduate degree from Marquette (Bus Ad ’74) as well as graduate degree (MBA ’09). Larry’s wife Jane (Nurs ‘74) and daughters Molly (Comm ‘06) and Brenna (Arts ‘03) are all graduates. Larry and his wife Jane were also recognized with an alumni national award for their service to Marquette in 2014.
