Welcome, Marquette Community Members
In February 2020, Marquette University is conducting its second campuswide climate survey. This represents an extension of the commitment we made in 2015 to foster a campus climate that ensures the ability of all our community members to learn, teach, work and enjoy an affirming quality of life.
At that time, we conducted our first Campus Climate Survey. We sought to gather the experiences and observations of students and employees throughout the university, review notable findings and, through campus conversations, identify key action steps that we might take together to support our guiding values.
Since 2015, considerable momentum has grown throughout our campus. We have strengthened our commitment to professional and personal growth, especially among employees. We also have increased support for affinity groups among student and employee communities, and we have promoted strategies to increase diversity across the institution. (For more on the 2015 study and its outcomes, see the 2015 Campus Climate Study links on this page.)
But there is much more to do. We remain strongly committed to addressing campus climate and are repeating our campuswide survey to generate a new set of action steps from the observations of our community.
The Campus Climate Survey will open to all students, faculty and staff on Monday, February 10, 2020. Everyone currently affiliated with Marquette is invited to take a few moments to complete the survey. We need all members of the Marquette community to continue on the path toward our aspiration to “be recognized among the most innovative and accomplished Catholic and Jesuit universities in the world, promoting the greater glory of God and the well-being of humankind.”
