When and where are auditions?
Spring 2021 Auditions are held virtually on Zoom.
When: Monday, February 1, 2021 (5:30-7:30p.m.) or by appointment.
How do I sign up for an audition?
Auditions for Spring 2021 have been held. For more information, contact Tom Koester.
What will I be asked to do during the audition?
A simple, 10-minute audition is required for membership in the Liturgical Choir. The audition consists of:
- Vocal Warm-Ups
- Pitch memory exercises
- Singing a song of your choice or a verse of "My Country 'Tis of Thee"
- A simple sight singing example
Since the Choir cannot sing in-person this coming semester, will they continue to rehearse and perform?
The Liturgical Choir will continue to rehearse each week in a virtual online format, prepare recorded choir music for the Masses and perform a year-end Virtual Concert in April to be shared on social media. In addition, the choir will participate in a retreat, outreach opportunities and hold social gatherings.
What if I’ve never sung in a choir before?
Liturgical Choir is composed of members from various musical backgrounds. Whether you have been singing in choirs for years or have never sung in a choir, this ensemble is for you!
What if I’m not Catholic?
Students of varying religious backgrounds have sung in this choir. All are welcome here!
