Fall 2020 - Things to Consider - Students

Information for Student Workers:

  • You must follow the safety protocols laid out by the university COVID task force. Prior to your start date/return date, you must complete “Return to Campus” workplace safety online training.
  • All employees must undergo the pre-work health screening protocol.
  • If you have Federal Work Study on your Financial Aid Award, I encourage you to accept it on CheckMarq and communicate to your prospective or current Marquette supervisor that you have Federal Work Study.
  • Practice social distancing, wear a face covering, and wash your hands. We are all responsible for the health of our community. Clean and disinfect your workspace before starting work—not after—to help be most efficient with supplies.
  • If you are not feeling well for whatever reason, please contact your supervisor and stay home.
If you contract COVID-19, you are encouraged to complete the COVID 19 Employee and Student Voluntary Disclosure Form.
  • Because student employees are part time workers, you are not eligible for paid sick leave. However, please see this link about potential unemployment assistance: https://dwd.wi.gov/covid19/public/ui.htm.
  • For efficient and contactless payments, sign up for direct deposit by following the steps described here: https://www.marquette.edu/central/bursar/documents/direct-deposit-instructions.pdf
  • Feel free to contact Eric Wolffersdorff at Student Employment Services with any questions: studentemployment@marquette.edu

More information can be found on the university's coronavirus page.
