David Diehl



David Diehl is the Senior Scientist and Manager, Corporate Technology Initiatives, of PPG Industries, Inc. He is responsible for the Corporate Technology portfolio which encompasses the discovery, assessment and acquisition of new technology from external sources such as the U.S. National Laboratories, universities, new venture companies, as well as institutions in other geographic locations including the former Soviet Union, Japan, China, and India.

Prior to this assignment, Dr. Diehl has held various R&D and business development positions within the Industrial Coatings and Packaging strategic business units. He holds a B.S. in Physics from Lebanon Valley College, an M.S. in Chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Marquette University. He is editor-in-chief of the RadTech Report and President Elect of RadTech International North America, and has served as Director for the Alumni Board of the Eberly College of Science.
