Celebrate the end of finals with a good road trip!

We’re marking the first day of winter break with a bus trip to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine, one of Wisconsin’s newest and most popular pilgrimage sites. Rising from the hills in the beautiful La Crosse region, Our Lady of Guadalupe is known for its gorgeous church, meditative and wooded trails, devotional areas including Stations of the Cross and Votive Candle Chapel, and Franciscan community.

We’ll spend the bus ride there eating breakfast, hanging out, and hearing a little about Our Lady of Guadalupe and the long practice of Christian pilgrimage. While at the Shrine, we’ll attend Mass and Holy Hour, and there will be time to explore the walking paths, celebrate Reconciliation, or have personal prayer time, according to each person’s preference. We’ll have lunch as a group in the Shrine’s café and there will also be an opportunity to browse the bookstore. We will depart after Holy Hour ends and stop for dinner on the way home, returning that night.

Whether you want to spend time with Our Lady and her Son, prepare your heart for Christmas, unwind after finals, have one more experience with friends, or all of the above, this road trip is sure to be both fun and meaningful.

This pilgrimage is a partnership of the Campus Ministry Retreat Program, Ignite, MUSG, and the Bellarmine Society.

¡Viva la Virgen de Guadalupe!
