Synopsis: This is a hands-on workshop. Bring your ideas for process improvement. Workshop goals: Review process improvement ideas and clearly identify why these are good projects, begin to clearly define the problem statement using the 5W1H framework, share tools and practices to further clarify and define the project, and learn about a project charter and begin to frame the idea

Synopsis: Too often, our newly trained Lean facilitators were not engaging, and the facilitators that remained active were not actively growing their Lean thinking and practice. Our facilitators needed systematic coaching, mentoring, and training. We developed a Lean certification framework that clearly defines Lean facilitator expectations, gets supervisor buy in, builds our Lean community of practice, and provides a structured way for our facilitators to grow in Lean knowledge, skills, and abilities. The certification process also enables us to better define, measure, and report our facilitator activities. Actively managing this valuable resource will ensure its continued success.

Synopsis: Workshop goals: Identify individuals and groups that the project affects; assess their influence on the project and determine the right approach to effective communication, risk mitigation and engagement throughout the project. Learn how to approach a lean practice called the Voice of the Customer (VOC); All improvements involve change at some level. Learn how to manage the critical aspects of change that could have a big impact on the success of your project.

Synopsis: Learn how to visually display the flow of steps, delays and information required to deliver a product or service. Value Stream Mapping allows analysis of the current state in terms of barriers to process flow, process clarity across departments, and where are the opportunities to improve and streamline the process.
