Kendra A. Surmitis, Ph.D. is an assistant clinical professor of counseling at Marquette University and a licensed clinical mental health counselor in private practice in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In practice, Dr. Surmitis primarily focuses on self-authorship and psychoanalytic perspectives on women aspiring to grow their professional and academic success. Additionally, her research focuses on self-injury, dream analysis, and ethical considerations of mindfulness interventions in counseling.
