10:00am Yoga with Stephanie | AMU East Lawn

Come join us for a morning flow class that promises an equal blend of strength, flexibility, and balance. Stephanie is trained in vinyasa yoga and has teaching experience with all levels and body types, so don't be shy or think 'yoga is not for me'. This is a no-judgment space with the hope to provide you an hour of challenge, fun, and distraction from the looming end of the semester to-do list.

A beginners workshop to learning modern hand lettering, including: basic letter formations, connecting letters, a take-home practice guide, and tips & tricks for using everyday writing utensils.

Archery Tag is like dodgeball with bows and foam tipped arrows! 5 player teams compete in flash 15 minute games.

Come get free hot air balloon rides. Enjoy a relaxing evening view of the city. This is an ascent and descent for a 5 minute experience.

7:00pm Comedian: Tim Chantarangsu | Weasler Auditorium & Zoom

Tim Chantarangsu, formerly Timothy DeLaGhetto, is an entertainer who built an audience on Youtube by uploading crazy sketches and witty raps. Tim has spent 6 years and 8 seasons as a starring cast member (and token Asian) on MTV's hiphop improv comedy show Wild 'N Out.

8:30am - 4:30pm Coloring Books for Prayer, Reflection, and Contemplation | AMU 236

Stop by the Campus Ministry office for an 8-page coloring book of Marquette landmarks, including the Joan of Arc chapel, and supplies for coloring. No registration necessary!

 

LOOKING GOOD, MARQUETTE: Art and Writing for Mental Health

The Haggerty Museum of Art and the Ott Memorial Writing Center invite members of the campus community to take time this spring to enjoy art and writing together for mental health. Visit the Haggerty in person or online to find specially selected artworks paired with viewing and writing prompts that promote emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. Planned in coordination with Spring 2021 mental health days — February 9, March 10, April 20, and May 5 — Looking Good, Marquette also celebrates Black History Month, Women's History Month, Poetry Month, and Mental Health Awareness Month.  More information can be found on the website.

March 10 - April 20 Indoor Marathon

Sign-up anytime, but the competition won’t start until March 10th. Log miles starting March 10th, on the “Mile Log” form (will be sent out then). If you are walking/running at Rec Center or Rec Plex, have a Service Staff Member verify your miles. If you are walking/running outside, upload a picture of your recorded miles.

Join the Calendar

If your office or department has a program, event, or activity that you would like to have included and promoted on our Staycation Days agenda, submit them on our Staycation Event Form.

 

University leadership recognizes that it can be difficult to manage the anxieties and stress associated with this pandemic. The Mental Health Days will provide undergraduate and graduate students in certain programs the opportunity to rest and recharge while also reducing unnecessary travel. The Counseling Center also has virtual services that are accessible now. Contact the Counseling Center at (414) 288-7172 if you are in need of mental health or counseling services.
