Director of Student Studies and Records

Mr. J. Chris Perez learned at an early age from his mother, who was a middle and high school teacher on the island of Guam, that one key to a happy life is to enjoy the learning process and never stop learning. Mr. Perez took those words of wisdom to heart and has earned four degrees from Marquette University.

After working as an engineering consultant and an IT professional for the Government of Guam, Mr. Perez returned to the Midwest and has worked in the Opus College of Engineering since 1998, having served as Computer Systems Manager prior to taking a leap of faith to work in Academic Affairs in 2008.

Currently the Director of Student Studies and Records, Mr. Perez assists students as they make their journey towards graduation. Mr. Perez advises students interested in studying abroad as well as those pursing the Global Engineering concentration and the Engineering Ethics and Values minor. Mr. Perez serves on various college and university committees such as the Committee on Undergraduate Studies (CUS), the Committee on Academic Procedure (CAPS) and the University Staff Senate (USS).
