Clinical Assistant Professor

Exercise Science

Dr. Bollaert joined the Program in Exercise Science in the Department of Physical Therapy in 2018. Rachel graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Human Physiology in 2012. She graduated with her doctorate in Kinesiology & Community Health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2017. She then completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science & Technology at UIUC.

Rachel's research focuses on the promotion of physical activity behavior for veterans and the understanding of behavioral and neurobiological associations with physical activity, mindfulness, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
