Faber Takes Three! A Weekly Reflection Sponsored by the Faber Center for Ignatian Spirituality

Each week the Faber Center website will sponsor a reflection offered by a diverse group of friends and colleagues from around the Marquette community who come from different faith traditions and beliefs.

Weeks of January 18 & 25 Reflection

Stephanie Russell, vice president, Office of Mission and Ministry, reflects on the Ignatian call to be a "contemplative in action," not only in our drive to service but by returning to our core and discovering God there. She reminds us to take time to notice how God has been active in our life and encourages us to take advantage of the retreat benefit offered by the university to administrators and staff.

Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius

The exercises are a pathway to recognizing God's activity in our deepest desires and growing in unity with God. Emerging from the experience of St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, the Exercises provide a structured opportunity to mature in spiritual freedom and make choices that are responsive to God's call in one's life.
