Depression — The Intersection of Hope, Medicine and Research

With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reporting that 10 percent of adults in the U.S. are affected by depression, and the link to possible suicide, the need to de-stigmatize this condition is long overdue.

Thanks to a generous gift from Dan and Susan Real, the College of Health Sciences took its popular Marquette Presents series to Chicago to address this timely topic.

Marquette Presents: Depression — The Intersection of Hope, Medicine and Research featured faculty researchers from the college, a psychiatrist from Rogers Memorial Hospital, and sports anchor and Marquette alum Trenni Kusnierek, who shared her personal story of the disease of depression.
