Reminder: The PhD program in History relaunches in Fall 2023, and we are accepting applications for admission through January 15th. The program seeks students whose research will focus in one of four primary areas: American Cultures and Societies; Empire and Decolonization; History and Memory; and Race, Gender, and Class in History.

We anticipate those admitted will receive full funding for five years, which includes at least one year of research fellowship and, for those students who wish to discern career opportunities outside the traditional classroom setting, a full year with a funded career diversity internship placement.
