In 1989 Hunger Clean-up began as a modest, student-led effort to combat hunger and homelessness in Milwaukee. Hunger Clean-up has grown to be Marquette's largest day of service. Approximately 1,500 students, staff, faculty and alumni come together each April to volunteer with over 50 agencies across Milwaukee.
This stage is set by a dedicated team of student leaders committed to service who work throughout the fall and spring. Our ambassador team mobilizes their peers while increasing awareness, support and resources for local nonprofits. That’s being the difference!
Hunger Clean-up is hosted by the Center for Community Service. Interested in getting more involved in service? Visit us in Alumni Memorial Union, 137!
