Peggy Troy

Peggy Troy, Nurs ’74, was elected to the Marquette University Board of Trustees in 2011.

Peggy is president and CEO of Children’s Wisconsin. Peggy has held leadership roles in both adult and pediatric health systems prior to coming to Children's in 2009. Past roles include executive vice president and COO of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and president and CEO of Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center, both in Memphis, Tennessee, and president of Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Peggy earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Marquette University and a master's in nursing from DePaul University in Chicago. While attending Marquette, Peggy served as a nurse intern at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.

Peggy has chaired and served on the national board of the Children's Hospital Association, an organization of 220 children's hospitals nationwide. She is regularly invited to Washington, D.C., to meet with public and elected officials regarding pediatric health care policy.

Peggy is a member of the Greater Milwaukee Committee and Children's Hospital Association Public Policy Committee.  She serves on the boards of the Wisconsin Hospital Association, the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, the Medical College of Wisconsin, Teach for America and the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.  She also serves on the boards for Zurn Elkay Water Solutions and QuadMed.

In 2022, Peggy was recognized as Marquette University’s Alumna of the Year.
