Additional changes to Teams meeting recordings

Besides the change in recording location, Teams meeting recordings introduce other changes.

CHANGE TEAMS CHANNEL MEETINGS TEAMS MEETINGS THAT DO NOT USE A TEAMS CHANNEL (Outlook)
Sharing with external users Meeting organizers and Teams site owners can share a video link with external users. Persons who started the meeting recording can share a video link with external users.
Recording availability The move to the Teams recording folder allows meeting recordings to be available faster than with Microsoft Stream. The move to the OneDrive recording folder allows meeting recordings to be available faster than with Microsoft Stream.
Sharing functions Teams offers easy-to-set permissions and sharing. OneDrive for Business offers easy-to-set permissions and sharing.
Notification of recording link The recording link for the Teams channel meeting automatically appears as a conversation post on the Teams channel. 

Instructors: Teams channel meetings are the recommended way to schedule online class meetings.

For users who have the Teams chat icon, the recording link appears in Teams chat.

For a user who recorded the video and lacks the Teams chat icon, navigate to your OneDrive recordings folder. Identify the video by its filename, which includes the date and time of the recording. Then share a link to the video.
Closed captioning There are no closed captions available for Teams meeting recordings at this time. Microsoft is working to add this feature in a future release of Teams.
Captions transcription automatically activates upon recording.
Captions editing Closed captions are not available on recordings at this time for Teams channel meetings. To add video captions that the owner can edit, download the video from Teams to your device. Then upload the video to Microsoft Stream, which automatically adds editable captions.
