MilwaukeeWI53201United States of America(414) 288-3511lani.stockwell@marquette.eduLani R. Stockwell received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. After years of clinical practice, she earned her doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Creighton University. Dr. Stockwell’s clinical expertise lies in both adult acute care and chronic illness. She started her own private practice focusing on lifestyle modification for chronic illness management through therapeutic use of self. She believes in a mind-body-self approach to health and that wellness is driven by life meaning and balanced life patterns. Dr. Stockwell applies this same approach to teaching, by encouraging her students to discover what living a meaningful life means personally, so that they may identify and value what is meaningful to the people they will serve in future professional practice. In her “free” time, Dr. Stockwell dreams of having spare time, enjoys being with family and friends, and is an avid runner. She can often be found curling up with a good book, digging outside in her garden, or snuggled up with her two cats, Smudge and Chinkers.
