Walter Bialkowski

Walt Bialkowski is a clinical research professional with extensive experience managing NIH-funded multi-center trials of traumatic injury, out of hospital cardiac arrest, neurological disorders, and transfusion medicine. He received his undergraduate training in Biology from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and graduate training in Comparative Pathobiology at Purdue University. He is being mentored by Dr. Paula Papanek. In collaboration with Blood Center of Wisconsin, they are investigating the physiology of anticoagulant exposure experienced by volunteer apheresis blood donors to define acute and long-term bone-related health outcomes in this precious community resource.

About the Marquette Sports Rehabilitation Clinic

The Marquette Sports Rehabilitation Clinic (MSRC) is a full-service outpatient rehabilitation and sports medicine clinic that offers the expertise of licensed Physical Therapists and licensed Athletic Trainers with the convenience of an on-campus location. MSRC is a part of the College of Health Sciences' nationally ranked Department of Physical Therapy. MSRC primarily serves the Marquette community including students, staff, faculty and spouses/dependents of employees. MSRC does additionally welcome patients from the greater Milwaukee community at large.
